Features

What Antify can do today.

An overview of the app’s features as it runs today — no plans, no promises. Everything here is part of every free account.

Player

The player uses the same sound chain in the browser, the apps and the programs. Tracks can crossfade; at the end of the queue Antify can keep playing matching songs instead of going silent.

  • Crossfade: off, 3, 6 or 12 seconds (on iPhone, iPad and in Safari tracks change without crossfade)
  • Auto-mix looks for a quiet moment at the end of a song for the transition
  • Loudness matching (ReplayGain from each song’s analysis)
  • “Unprocessed sound”: output without limiter, matching and sound profile
  • Playback speed with “keep pitch”, output device selection, sleep timer

Equalizer

Ten bands from 32 Hz to 16 kHz with ±12 dB, auto preamp against clipping, 27 presets and your own presets. In detail — with a demo to try — on the equalizer page.

  • A/B comparison with the original, undo, frequency curve and live spectrum
  • The active curve follows your account to other devices
  • Sound options: stereo width, tilt, channel fix, crossfeed, loudness, mono

Discover

The home screen builds mixes from your listening history. Recommendations say why they appear — for example “Because you listen to X” or “Popular with listeners of similar taste”. Without listening data yet, you get what’s popular and new in the Antify library.

  • Mixes for you and recommendations with a reason
  • Search by title and artist, charts, genres, artist pages
  • New releases from your most-played artists (data from MusicBrainz)

Library and playlists

A heart saves a song to your favorites. Create your own playlists, reorder them by drag handle and share them by link. Smart playlists, tags and a history come on top.

  • Favorites, the same on every device
  • Create, reorder and share playlists by link
  • Smart playlists, tags, history

Offline listening

Single songs or whole lists can be saved on the device. They are stored encrypted and play without a connection.

  • Save songs and lists
  • Encrypted on the device
  • Play without internet

Jam — listen together

A Jam is a shared listening session: whoever starts it shares a code or link, and everyone hears the same song at the same time. By default guests may add songs to the queue; the host can switch that off.

  • Join with a six-character code or a link
  • Shared queue (up to 50 songs)
  • Chat and reactions

Upload your own songs

In your profile under “My uploads” you can upload your own songs — with title, genre and, if you like, your own cover. They appear in the shared library; flagged uploads are checked by a human first.

  • MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG or FLAC
  • Up to 60 MB per file
  • Only songs you hold the rights to

Platforms

One account, the same library everywhere. You sign in inside the app.

  • Browser, nothing to install; can be installed as a web app
  • Android 5.1 and later (APK straight from antify.org)
  • Windows 10 and 11 (installer or portable file), Linux x64 (tar.gz)
  • iPhone and iPad via “Add to Home Screen” in Safari — there is no App Store version

Account and data

A username and a password are enough; no email address is asked for. That also means a forgotten password cannot be reset by email. What is processed is described in the privacy policy (in German).

  • No ads, no analytics or ad services
  • Export your library as a file
  • Delete your account yourself

What Antify is not

Antify is not a streaming service with a licensed catalog. There are no deals with record labels and no complete catalog of current music. The library grows from uploads and freely usable sources.

A detailed, honest comparison is on the page Antify as a Spotify alternative.

Trying it costs nothing: username, password, done.
